Alberta Challenge: Day Two Recap

RED DEER – Day two down in the 2023 Alberta Challenge with four more games finished.

This morning saw a contest between South Green and North Grey. North Grey took the win, 4-3, with a tie-breaking goal in the last 24 seconds of play.

In the battle of northern Alberta, North Yellow narrowly defeated North Blue by a score of 3-2.

Game eight saw two southern Alberta squads face-off, with South Green winning the game 6-2 over South Black.

South White and North Blue battled hard for the final 60 minutes of the day with neither team able to pull ahead. The two tied 2-2 to finish the night on a strong note.

Saturday’s three games will wrap up round-robin play with the first game starting at 10 a.m. between North Yellow and South Green. North Yellow has a narrow one-point lead over South Green and South White going into tomorrow.
